DSPT Courses
Special Reading Courses
University of California, Berkeley
Full-time students in degree programs are allowed
to cross-register for courses offered at the University of California - Berkeley,
subject to certain conditions. Certificate and Special or (unclassified)
students may not cross-register at UCB. The conditions for cross-registration
are detailed in the complete GTU-UCB
Cross Registration Agreement, which you should read carefully if you
are interested in taking courses at UCB. There are no additional fees for
cross-registration. See course schedules for UCB programs.
During the DSPT's Early Registration, students should list the UCB course
on their registration card, but should not seek a faculty signature
on the gold card at that time. Instead, prior to the first day of the UCB
class, students should obtain the Application and Certification for
Cross Registration form from the Registrar.
This form is not available on-line, as it is a multi-copy form. Read the
form's instructions carefully, fill it in completely, and obtain all the
needed signatures. No form will be accepted without the signatures of the
Dean and the UCB Instructor teaching the course. If
you are registering for the first time at General Registration, list the
course on the gold card, obtain the Cross Registration form, and seek the
needed signatures.
When you register for a UCB course, it will NOT appear on your initial registration
statement. Instead, your schedule will show "HELP 8000 - Taking UCB
course/s" until you submit the Application for Cross-Registration form.
The form bearing the signatures of the Dean and the UCB course
instructor must be filed in the GTU Consortial Registrar's Office no
later than 12 noon on Friday at the end of the first week of GTU Courses. Since
this is the only deadline, there will be no exceptions. Because
the Cross-Registration form cannot be processed before the end of General
Registration, no late fee will be assessed if the student included the UCB
course on their gold card, either during GTU Early or General Registration.
See Early Registration and General
Registration for more detailed instructions on the registration process.
The names of Dominican School students will probably not appear on the initial
class list received by the instructor. Should it not appear on succeeding
class lists, notify the GTU Consortial Registrar.
