All our friends and supporters were cordially invited to attend the DSPT Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 22nd, at 1pm. Twenty students were conferred degrees and certificates of studies, including four Dominican brothers who will be ordained to the priesthood in June. The commencement speaker was Honorable Judge John T. Noonan and Mr. Gil Bailie and Honorable Daniel Lungren were inducted into the College of Fellows.

Baccalaureate Mass

Mass was celebrated on the Solemnity of Pentecost, May 23, 2010, at St. Albert Priory in Oakland.

"At the dawn of time, when the universe was still a dark and empty void, God’s Spirit moved over the face of creation like a wind. Through this Spirit God’s Word became flesh, and today Jesus breathes that Spirit upon his disciples and tells them “Peace be with you.” This is not a simple greeting; it is a gift. God’s words create the reality they describe, and with the breathing of Christ’s farewell gift of peace, God’s Spirit restores the creation wounded so long ago, and commissions successive generations of women and men – today’s graduates – to be signs and instruments of Christ’s peace."
