Faculty Updates 

Michael Dodds, OP, On January 28, 2014, Fr. Michael delivered a talk entitled, “Unlocking Divine Action,” for the annual Aquinas Lecture sponsored by the Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies, at Province College (RI). He will also participate in the 4th annual philosophy workshop sponsored by Mount St. Mary College (Newburgh, NY) this coming June 2104.

Bryan Kromholtz, OP, reports that preparations are well underway for the 2014 Dominican Colloquium, “Philosophers & Theologians in Conversation: What has Athens to do with Jerusalem? The call for papers has brought in more than thirty abstracts for review and approval. Mr. Aaron Harburg, a multi-media producer, will serve as assistant program coordinator.

Albert Paretsky, OP, has recently published a paper entitled, “‘You Are the Seal of My Apostleship in the Lord’:  Paul’s Self-Authentic Word,” in Review and Expositor, Vol. 110, n. 4 (Fall 2013).

Augustine Thompson, OP, "Francis of Assisi: A New Biography" is now out in Polish. Fr. Augustine gave an invited paper on Jan 3, 2014, entitled, “After Sabatier: Rethinking the Quest for Francis of Assisi,” at the American Historical Association (Washington DC, 1/4/2014). He will also present another paper, entitled “Perusing the Illusive Saint Francis,” for the 2014 St. Thomas Aquinas Distinguished Lecturer in Catholic Studies at Aquinas College, Grand Rapids MI: (January 30, 2014).
