Fr. Augustine Thompson, O.P. appointed President of the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies
Founded in 1929, the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies is Canada’s oldest research institute in the Humanities. It specializes in advanced scholarship of the intellectual and material cultures of the Middle Ages. The Institute (PIMS) is affiliated with the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto.
Fr. Augustine will teach his DSPT courses this Fall before taking a leave of absence to fill this new role.
