Professor Thomas coauthors Christian Theology with Alister McGrath
This month Wiley released a new seventh edition of Christian Theology: An Introduction, written by Oxford University's Alister McGrath and new co-author, DSPT professor Matthew J. Thomas.
Since its first publication in 1994, Prof. McGrath's textbook has become widely used across various Christian bodies worldwide, and is noteworthy for its wide historical lens that incorporates Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox perspectives.
A recent Oxford University profile of McGrath, who was ranked by Academic Influence the world's most influential theologian since 2000, compares him to St. Albert the Great, the German Dominican friar and doctor of the church who served as St. Thomas Aquinas' teacher (and from whom St. Albert's priory in Oakland takes its name).
You can read more about McGrath: Religious people need to explain and debate better: Professor Alister McGrath on faith, CS Lewis and Christmas.
If you are interested in purchasing the text you can find the new seventh edition of Christian Theology at the publisher's website.
